My go to place for sushi, always fresh and absolutely delicious. I can't count how many times I ordered from there and never disappointed. They once gave me a wrong order, but gave me credit for the same order so I got it for free. I recommend this place to all my friends because I know they won't be disappointed.
Great Udon noodles and Sushi. I don't trust some of recent low reviews, this place was solid spot. Would definitely come back.
I always thought the only options I had at sushi places were the cucumber rolls and chicken teriyaki. But I was pleasantly surprised by all the veggie rolls available here. My hands down favorite was the sweet potato business (#92). I did get the cucumber roll as well as the veggie futomaki (#93). I just didn't like how large the futomaki and sweet potato rolls were. It was hard to eat without it falling apart. We also ordered the steamed edamame which was great. They had coated them in a light sauce with sesame seeds.
SAME-DAY UPDATE: I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because great service is not just when there are issues...but also actions taken when there are issues. And the fact the the owner reached out quickly to take accountability and attempt to rectify the situation (with zero ask for the review to be removed) makes up for this hopefully one-off negative experience. The purpose of my review was simply for the business to be aware so improvements can be made, so... Preface by saying this review is not regarding the food, which we've had before and would rate 3.5 stars. This review is specifically related to the overall service experience on Sunday night which caused us to go elsewhere, which was a shame because our boys wanted japanese ramen and this is the only place in Woodbridge that serves it. Strike 1 - Waited at the host stand for at least 5 minutes before we were acknowledged, even though there were several workers in green Sushi Jin shirts walking back and forth and only a couple tables were occupied. Strike 2 - We were eventually told to seat ourselves but every empty booth we tried had not been cleaned. We sat at the least dirtiest booth and had to flag someone down to clean the table, which was still was not done immediately. Strike 3 - Eventually someone asked if we got menus yet (we did not) and they plopped the menus down on the still yet uncleaned table. All of this would be understandable if they were super busy or short-staffed, but there were more workers there than there were patrons. We ended up going somewhere else because if the service was already subpar before we could even order, chances of a pleasant dining experience were likely slim to none. Not sure if everyone was new but there did not seem to be anyone responsible for front of house, serving, or bussing. Even when there were only 1-2 servers at Sushi Jin, the service was significantly better. Hope they can improve...
This is definitely a great place to have Japanese soup on a cold day! I recommend the Chashu Ramen, which has braised pork as the main protein. If you're not a fan of hard boiled eggs, ask them not to add it. It is a hearty soup and pretty filling. They also have a variety of sushi to order, to include rolls, nigiri and sashimi styles . If you get the sashimi style (straight raw fish slices) try it with warm sake... it's the best! Edamame and pan fried vs deep fried gyoza are great appetizers. The service is also very nice and friendly. The ambiance is pretty authentic of a mom and pop shop in Japan. They even have Japanese shows playing!
Bulgogi Don and any of their sushi rolls will do you right. I also recommend the Udon.
Small place with quick service and a variety of soups, ramens and sushi offerings and a few Japanese steakhouse options. I had the sushi and nigiri lunch special. It was very good with nice thick slices of fish on the nigir and a nice SMALL (which is nice) bite of rice. The sesame tuna roll was great. More rice to fish but great. Miso soup was average as was the salad. I'm definitely bringing the family back. Prices are good. Lunches under 20$
